A Seasonal Flu Epidemic with A/H1N1 in British has Killed 50 People

British health officials say a seasonal flu epidemic has killed 50 people.

45 of the 50 deaths from flu recorded in Britain since the start of the outbreak in October were from H1N1 and five from B strain influenza.

Britain is experiencing a sharp increase in both mild and severe flu cases. Meanwhile, a tourist from Germany, who was diagnosed with A/H1N1, died of the virus on Wednesday in a ski resort in central Austria.

The virus hasn't been found in three of his relatives who accompanied the man on the trip, nor in staff or other guests at the hotel.
